Universal Assay Processor
Saigene’s automated assay processor is a truly universal device with an easily understood graphical user interface. This design allows users to control the processor's sequencing, speed, agitation duration, plate temperature settings, and protocol usage. The Universal Assay Processor (UAP) contains an installed library with a program for analytical protocols to work with specific assay kits in our product lines.
The UAP can process one single-use set of prong strip and microtiter plate or two sets at the same time. Each prong strip has 12 separate prongs coated with molecular probes, for a total of 24 analyses at once. Installed default programs use a combination of target organism multiplexing, assay redundancy, and internal controls as specified by the user.
The library can also save protocol variations developed by users.
In addition to the UAP and SHA kits, the operator will need their own standard laboratory sample preparation materials that include a vacuum filter manifold, filters, and an 85ºC heater block. If using quantitative reading, the operator will also need a standard laboratory microtiter plate reader equipped for 650 and 450 nm.
